About Me

Hello, I’m Hannah B! I’m a visual storyteller–a designer, a maker, and a stylist–currently living and working in East Tennessee with my handsome hubby James and our photogenic terrier, Dexter. I believe in the power of color, texture, and typography to tell a story and elicit an emotion whether online or in a physical space.

When I was little I spent hours on the couch collaging with my mom’s old magazines and designing houses for imaginary clients. When other girls were reading Tiger Beat, I was obsessing over the latest story in Mary Engelbreit’s Home Companion. When I went to college, I discovered graphic design and became absolutely obsessed with children’s books. (When I die, I dream of my life being documented in a Little Golden Book, but then again, who doesn’t?)

After some time at a local magazine and freelancing, I joined the in-house visual design team at Scripps Networks Interactive where I’ve had the pleasure of working since 2011. I work with the HGTV and DIY Network brands on a daily basis. Plus, when I have time, I get to collaborate with the Made + Remade team where our mantra seems to be, “Make cool things with cool people.” And that’s what I love to do. I feel blessed to live the life of a full-time creative and work in a field that allows me to wake up each day and tell stories with creative people from across the country.
