If you and your man are planning on stepping out this weekend you may want to get him some Fred Astaire-esque duds. First of all, every man should have a hanky made with love by his Southern belle. Instructions for the one found below can be found on Purl Soho’s website. I also really love the Beau Collection of bow ties from Southern Proper… this particular one is their Cotton Pickin’ Beau. To complete the look: the Colton Spectator Wingtip from Cole Haan… I just *love* the texture of the canvas with the leather!
Happy stepping! xo~ HannahB.
I saw The Baxter totally by accident when it popped up on my Netflix last week and, as is the case with quite a few movies, I totally want to move in with the characters and take up permanent residence. The story is quite adorable, but really the style of the movie is just so cute & quirky, I couldn’t resist doing a little style file.
Plus, it’s worth pointing out that all of the characters in the movie have very distinct styles to support their personalities & worlds. And the combination of colors, textures and patterns is really just too much! Especially when you see the contrast between the style of The Baxter’s apartment (left) and that of his fiancé (right)…
In this case, I fell head over heals for HIS style and here’s why: For one thing, all of the gents you’re rooting for in this movie have a very well-balanced wardrobe full of tweed, argyle and plaid–not to mention cute little hats…
And, they all hang out at this adorable little bar that is the perfect, eclectic mixture of stuff to make it look nothing but comfy…
There are also quite a few people you’ll recognize, including Kenneth the intern (see the picture above) as well as this guy…
Then, of course, there’s The Baxter’s linens. Don’t you just want to crawl in those sheets & blankets to hibernate until winter is over?
I went on a little scavenger hunt the other day and found a few Baxter-like things from my favorite: Anthropologie!
Anyway, the point of this story is, if you are having a cold, wet day as so often has been the case lately, I’d highly recommend snuggling under a plaid blanket with a mug of hot chocolate and Netflix-ing The Baxter. Oh, and lusting after that wicked awesome couch from Anthropologie!

Good morning! This morning, I thought I’d share the more manly links that have been crowding my bookmarks bar as of late. I’m a sucker for great men’s fashion as well as women’s fashion that harks back to men’s styles of old so here is a little sampling of those. Plus, some great design that I’ve seen lately that I think would fit perfectly on the wall of any guy’s studio.

Husband will most definitely be getting one or more of these bowties from the new Social Primer for Brooks Brothers collection. In fact, I’m hoping to get to an event in the beginning of November in Nashville and perhaps catch a glimpse of K. Cooper Ray in person!

This image from the Sartorialist went into my fashion file instantly! You have to appreciate a guy who knows himself so well that he can wear something a little different from every other guy on the street with a style & confidence all his own.

The illustration from the new book Illustrated Three-Line Novels by Felix Feneon seem so masculine and sexy to me! I just *love* them.

If you want to get in a cooler-weather state of mind, I highly recommend bopping over to this flickr collection. I caught a glimpse on Valet the other day and immediately clicked over to see the entire collection of photographs from the London Tweed Run back in April. How much would you just *love* to be in attendance?

I think it’s pretty self-explanatory why I *love* this poster by James Brown from Keep Calm & Carry On. It will be hanging in my house in the very near future.
Happy 26th to the most handsome & stylish guy I know! In honor of Husband’s birthday, I thought I’d share just a few of the fun things every man should have… That is if every man has fabulous taste and really deep pockets!
*Happy Birthday, Husband!*
I LOVE YOU LOTS!
